The ritual.
-
Warm it first
One pump, pressed between the fingertips for a moment. Cold cream drags. Warm cream moves.
-
Along the jaw
Start at the chin with the applicator flat against the jawbone and glide outward to the ear. Three slow passes. Firm enough that the skin moves with you, light enough that it never pulls.
-
Under the cheekbone
From beside the nose, out along the underside of the cheekbone to the hairline. Three passes. This is the one most people feel first.
-
Brow, then neck
Work under the brow bone, inner corner outward, twice. Finish with three long strokes down the side of the neck.
How it should feel
Pressure
Enough to move the skin. Never enough to redden it.
Timing
At night, on clean skin, before anything heavier.
Frequency
Two or three nights a week to start. Most nights once your skin is used to it.
What to expect
Two clocks, not one
The de-puffed, more defined look from a session shows up within minutes and lasts hours. The texture change from retinol takes eight to twelve weeks of most-nights use. It helps to know which one you are watching.
